What
do workshop participants say about
Al Razavi
I
have taken several Improv classes and have never learned so
much about myself and Improv in such a short amount of time.
This class is very informative and the teacher was
wonderful.

Thanks for a superb improvisational workshop! You opened
my
eyes, ears, brain and heart to new listening techniques and
innovative communications skills. Your ability to meet the
needs
of all students and to give them performance confidence is a
testimony to your excellence as an instructor and director.
Corinne Williams, Workshop Participant Long Beach (CA)
Theater is the only art form that imitates life and deals
with real
life issues. Mr. Razavi’s invaluable training provides
students
with an opportunity to develop creativity, self- expression,
and
performance and communication skills far above anything
offered in the past. In this unique workshop, all teachers
take on
the roles of students and participate in every activity, and
so they
feel and learn step-by-step how each activity works. This
tremendously helps teachers to learn the entire process and
encourage them to enthusiastically take the learned tools to
their classrooms.
Karen Robertson Marietta Valley Unified School District
Instruction
and Staff Development Coordinator
Thank you for the terrific experience! …Having
worked fifteen
years in corporate, I have been to every workshop or seminar
you can fathom. In the Improv workshop, being a part of the
information by participating, brought a new dimension to the
learning process. I found that I retained more information
than
other seminar types, and my listening skills have improved
greatly…I discovered new joy in being with people. I
look forward
meeting my clients and they are no longer just part of my
agenda.
Carmen Cozby, Millennium Productions, California
…I was looking for a way to extend my knowledge and
gain more
experience. Mr. Razavi fit the bill perfectly. The result
was
immediate and effective: not only was my drama teaching
enhanced, but also my academic classes were injected with
new life and energy. The concepts taught in his acting
workshops apply not only to performance but to many aspects
of
working with people as well. I would wholeheartedly
recommend
his acting and communication training workshop for any
educator, and any professional. As an educator who teaches
in a
culturally and ethnically heterogeneous school, I was
impressed
how sensitively, encouragingly, and carpingly Mr. Razavi
insisted
on involving all his students, coming from diverse
socioeconomic, ethnic, age, and cultural backgrounds, in
workshop activities and theater productions. I have observed
closely how effectively his teaching style and innovative
Dramasports Improv theater formats consistently created
learning environments for participating students. His
improvisational acting training and writing programs with
ongoing successful shows in the region are truly unique and
one
of a kind.

…Al has been very innovative in developing
effective classes for
our community. Program evaluations have been outstanding,
and
members of Riverside
Community College
management team
still comment on a presentation Al made two years ago.
Cyndi Pardee, Riverside

Community College Supervisor
Mr. Razavi’s teacher-in-service workshops in the
areas of
teaching performing arts, organizing school-based
DRAMASPORTS theater troupes and improv-based creative
writing are truly unique. His teacher and student friendly
workshops and teaching materials are not only useful in a
visual
and performing arts setting, but can also easily utilized in
conjunction with the core curriculum, as well as Gifted and
Talented and at Risk programs.

This seminar was incredibly helpful. I'll be able to use
the very
complete and helpful booklets as a student and as a teacher.
I
will be using these simple techniques to help my students
produce creative works of their own.
Cindy Smith, Conference Participant and Coordinator
Educational Theater Association, California
I found this class very exciting. It helped me throw away
the
nervous side of me, and bring out the comedy and inventions
in
my head. It has been a great stepping stone as I build my
way
towards an acting career.
James McLean, Workshop
Participant
Temecula Valley

I really enjoyed your workshop. You have a great ability
for being
so naturally human. It was my first Improv experience ever
and I
hope not the last one.
Marie Kothera, Workshop Participant, Temecula, California
...a great experience... You gave people a chance to find
out who
they are, and for that you are commendable. Mike Gilroy,
Participant Improvisational Comedy Workshop, Murrieta ...it
was
so exciting that I wanted to keep going. Why do we have to
go
home without each other?
Mary C. Brown, Workshop Participant, Murrieta, California
…Excellent instructor! High energy, enthusiastic,
knowledgeable,
well spoken,
very encouraging and positive.
Mt. San Jacinto College, California Student actor

….Students have awarded Mr. Razavi high numerical
ratings on
their college-administered evaluations of his teaching, and
they
have also written to congratulate Mr. Razavi on his
exemplary
teaching. Any program or institution privileged enough to
benefit
from Mr. Razavi’s combination of expertise, training,
and
personal qualities will indeed be fortunate.
